'I'm Fed Up Of Seeing Lionel Messi Get the Ballon d'Or'

A former Manchester United star claims he is 'fed up' with seeing superstar Lionel Messi win the Ballon d'Or.

There are many people who consider Messi the favourite to claim his seventh Ballon d'Or title after helping Argentina clinch their first trophy since 1993 with the Copa America triumph.

Messi and Ronaldo have dominated the award since 2008, with Luka Modric the only player to stop their dominance in 2018 before Messi won it again a year later.

Former United and Juventus star Patrice Evra feels N'Golo Kante or Jorginho should win the accolade this year ahead of the Argentine.

"I'm fed up; it's rotten that they [might] give it to Leo Messi.

"In my opinion, the Ballon d'Or has to go to Jorginho or Kante.

"What are they going to tell me he did this year? Winning the Copa America, well, that's fine. But say what he did all year with Barcelona."

Italy manager Roberto Mancini and Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel have both previously thrown their support behind Jorginho to win the award after his starring role in the UEFA Champions League and European Championship.
