Lamine Yamal has enjoyed a magnificent start to his professional career, having already broken a plethora of records since the start of the 2023/24 season.
The 16-year-old has quickly established himself as a top player for the LALIGA champions, with his form even leading to him being called up for the senior Spanish national team.
During the previous international break, Yamal became the youngest-ever player to both play and score for La Furia Roja, further reinforcing his claim to being the next great prospect of world football.
The young attacker was once again called up to represent Luis de la Fuentes' charges for their latest set of 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifiers in this international break, but has had to pull out due to a muscle injury in his left leg.
This withdrawal from the Spanish national team led to rumours suggesting that Morocco, another nation he is still eligible to represent, was pressuring him to switch international allegiances by offering him money.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has, however, denied this emphatically, claiming that the allegations levelled against them are baseless.
"The Royal Moroccan Federation confirms that what was stated in this article is false and not based on any evidence, as we have respected the choices of the player Lamine Yamal, like other players of Moroccan origin who chose other teams," the federation said in an official statement.

While the north Africans will seemingly not see Yamal represent them, they are rumoured to have successfully managed to get another Spanish-born star to play for them, with Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz having reportedly chosen to play for the Atlas Lions.
