Mokwena was appointed as MC Alger boss in July following a disappointing stint in Morocco with MC Alger. The 38-year-old was dismissed before the season ended and missed out on the opportunity to coach the team at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Not resting on his laurels, Mokwena stepped up to the task of leading The Mouloudia following back-to-back league titles, as one member of his squad has revealed his excitement over Mokwena's appointment, according to Echaab.
Zougrana was quick to note that the former Mamelodi Sundowns tactician would bring greater technical quality to the squad.
"He is a well-known coach on the continental level, and he succeeded with Mamelodi Sundowns by winning the African Football League, which helped him rise to prominence," Zougrana said.
"Technically, he is different from the previous coach because the South African technician prefers quick play and short passing. This will greatly help us improve our technical and tactical abilities next season," he added.
The Burkina Faso international added that he expected to grow as a player under Mokwena's tutelage.
"Certainly, as a player, I care a lot about working with a coach who focuses on developing my abilities, because this gives me the necessary strength to face the challenges in my career," the 23-year-old said.

"I have to be ready technically to perform well in matches, and that makes me eager to work with him," the Burkinabe added.
