The 22-year-old, the son of Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) President Samuel Eto'o, enjoyed a prolific goalscoring season with the Rayo Vallecano B team last season, and the goals were enough to secure him a promotion to the first team.
However, just a month removed from when Eto'o announced he would be signing with the Los Franjirrojos for the 2025/26 season, he now appears uncertain to continue with the Spanish side.
According to Afrik Foot, Eto'o could be tempted with a move away as he is not guranteed playing time, while he could also learn more in a new environment.
However, the young striker has expressed his desire to stay with Rayo for the new season.
"I don't think about anything other than playing here, scoring goals and giving back to both the fans and the club all the support they give me," Eto'o said.
