Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro is rumoured to be on the verge of signing for Al Ahly, but before he puts pen to paper, there are reportedly two main points of contention.

The major news within African football at the moment appears to be the imminent arrival of the man known as the Spanish Guitar at the Cairo International Stadium.
Earlier this week, the Buccaneers announced that the Vigo native had been granted approval to leave the club early — having previously confirmed that he would not be renewing his contract — to take the reins at his new club.
Shortly afterwards, it was revealed that the club in question was none other than the Club of the Century. Since the news broke, neither Riveiro nor Al Ahly have made any official communication, but his appointment by the African giants seems imminent. However, before confirming his arrival, a few matters reportedly still need to be ironed out.
This is according to Al Ahly icon turned media personality Ahmed Shobair, who claims that two issues need to be resolved before the parties can officially confirm Riveiro as the Red Devils’ new head coach.
"Jose Rivero is one of the names strongly suggested to coach Al-Ahly, and he is the closest, but there are still some things separating him from coaching Al-Ahly," the former goalkeeper said on his radio show on On Sport FM.

"There are three points of disagreement between Al-Ahly and Rivero, and they have nothing to do with financial matters. One disagreement ended yesterday, and two remain, which are matters related to the assistant staff and the powers within the apparatus. These are points that can be resolved.”
