There were plenty of high-scoring matches during this AFCON qualification campaign, providing players with the opportunity to climb the goalscoring ranks. One such example was Morocco's 7-0 victory over Lesotho earlier this week.

The Atlas Lions concluded the qualifiers as not only the only side with a 100% record but also as the team with the most goals, having found the back of the net 26 times. It is unsurprising, then, that one of their players finished atop the goalscoring standings—Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz.

The winger scored in every qualifier he participated in, finishing the North Africans' victorious run in Group B by netting a hat-trick against the 152nd-ranked Lesotho. His first-half heroics against the continental minnows ensured he leapfrogged Guinea's Serhou Guirassy, taking his tally to seven goals.

Below is a list of the top five goalscorers from the recently concluded 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, as per CAF:

The Borussia Dortmund forward missed the National Elephants' first two matches, against the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania, both of which the West Africans lost. Upon Guirassy's return, Guinea returned to winning ways largely thanks to the 28-year-old's efforts.

The attacker scored in each of the next three international matches, netting a hat-trick against Ethiopia, a brace in the return fixture, and the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over DRC.

However, the French-born forward was unable to score in the final qualifier against the Taifa Stars. The East Africans secured their ticket to Morocco at Guinea's expense by defeating Guirassy and his teammates 1-0. The former Stuttgart man ended the qualification campaign with six goals.
