The story

Amakhosi starlet, Mfundo Vilakazi enjoyed a lively a full 90 minutes of action as Kaizer Chiefs comfortably progressed to the last 16 of the 2025 Nedbank Cup.

The Glamour Boys walked away with an emphatic 4-0 win over lowly ABC Motsepe League opponents, Free Agents FC at the FNB Stadium on Sunday evening.

A first half brace from Pule Mmodi and second half goals from Inacio Miguel and Ranga Chivaviro were enough to put a 10-men Free Agents away, with Vilakazi putting together another solid display.

"Obrigado," as he's affectionately known by his growing fanbase, played a role in Mmodi's second goal in the first stanza and forced a save from Agents' substitute goalkeeper Tsebo Shabalala on the hour mark from a free kick, that was tipped away for a corner before Chiefs added their third on the night.

After the full-time whistle, Vilakazi was greeted by his family members on the grand stands in truly touching scenes captured by photographer, Daniel Hlongwane.
