Argentina superstar Lionel Messi has had a terrific start to 2015 and it seems his new found form has inspired the German shoe manufacturer to make a new boot.
According to Adidas, the Pibe de Barr 10 boot has been inspired by "the Barrio of Las Heras, Rosario," the area where Messi learned to play the game.
The boot was designed by a Rosario graphic artist named Ignacio Valenti and according to him, the boot is supposed to represent Messi's footballing style.
Valenti described the boot as, "Fusing urban-inspired raw brush strokes with polished sleekness on the synthetic hybrid touch upper, the Pibe de Barr10 embodies Leo Messi's footballing style; beautiful, yet dangerous."
The Barcelona striker also had time to share a few words about his new boot range and it seems he is delighted with the outcome.
"I did leave Rosario when I was young, but I still have my people, my neighbourhood and my favourite spots. Pibe de Barr 10 have a lot to do with my life, my childhood and a lot to do with me," he said.
