Itumeleng Khune has always possessed a nifty right peg as seen with his impeccable distribution qualities, and the Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper has previously shown the desire to take free-kicks and often does so in training. Have you seen his latest video?
In November 2016, the Amakhosi captain struck his first attacking free-kick for Chiefs in an Absa Premiership match against Baroka at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
While his effort was saved by the opposing goalkeeper, Khune showed good knuckle-ball technique, a dead-ball style perfected by the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Nonetheless, "Itu" showed his dead-ball ability once again in one of Bafana Bafana's recent training sessions, and uploaded a video of himself pulling off a decent free-kick to his social media pages on Monday.
He captioned the post by saying, "I so wish there was a GK in the goalposts. What do u guys think of my technique? Wanna start taking free-kicks in official matches."
Check it out!
