The Namibian national team boss has lauded Mamelodi Sundowns star Peter Shalulile for his all-around impact on the national team.

The Brave Warriors were unable to keep intense pressure on Group H mini-league table toppers Tunisia following their 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
While the Southern Africans have seen the gap between them and the Carthage Eagles increase to four points, in Namibia's latest draw, Shalulile did find the back of the net. The goal was his first for the national team since 2023, but Namibian national team boss Collin Benjamin has stated what Shalulile brings to the side is more than goals.
"The value that Peter Shalulile brings to the team amplifies the game. Absolute professional and patriotic. A leader on and off the pitch," Benjamin said in the aftermath of the 1-1 draw.
"He is the first one that carries his bag into the bus or off the airport, and all of these things that he does off the field are par excellence.
"On scoring, because he has the quality, he is really a good player. I mean you in South Africa can attest to that. The last game we played against Malawi, it was an assist from him. So the value is much more than just for him to score goals.
"Peter Shalulile, on the field, the opponent has to feel that, 'We have to be careful', and it's already a plus factor," he added.

"Peter Shalulile is Namibian and is proud to be a Namibian and we are very happy to have him. We wish him all the best and hopefully, that record here in South Africa is not going to stay for long."
