OPPO Names Lamine Yamal As Global Brand Ambassador

OPPO has announced 17-year-old Spanish football sensation Lamine Yamal as its new global brand ambassador.

Yamal, who made a name for himself with his impressive performances on the football field, will play a central role in OPPO's "Make Your Moment" brand refresh initiative. Through this collaboration, Yamal will inspire young people worldwide to embrace the present, channel their passions into action, and create extraordinary stories for the future.

Billy Zhang, President of Overseas Marketing, Sales, and Services at OPPO, praised Yamal's talent and character.

"Lamine is not just a gifted footballer but an inspirational young man with an incredible passion for the game. Like countless young people worldwide, Lamine refuses to be held back by anxiety or uncertainty about the future. Instead, he focuses on his passions and concentrates his energy on the present, finding fulfillment and strength through his dedication."

Since making his international debut in 2023, Yamal has captivated fans not only with his footballing prowess but also with his humility and maturity off the field. Despite the immense pressures of being one of the world's top young footballers, he has balanced his career with his studies and remained grounded.

In a reflection of his mindset, Yamal emphasized,"The best way to handle it all is to focus on the work at hand and stay present."

This approach aligns perfectly with OPPO's "Make Your Moment" philosophy, which encourages living in the moment, seizing opportunities, and overcoming challenges. Having recently recovered from an injury, Yamal's commitment to disciplined training and preparation in his comeback shows his dedication to the present and his determination to make the most of every opportunity.

As a symbol of his connection to his roots, Yamal celebrates each goal with his signature "304" hand gesture, a tribute to the post code of his hometown, Rocafonda. This gesture reflects his pride in his origins and his desire to inspire other young footballers, especially those from similar backgrounds, to follow their dreams.

These initiatives will focus on supporting grassroots football development, improving local football facilities, and encouraging young people to submit creative ideas for football charity projects. By empowering young people to innovate in the world of football philanthropy, Yamal aims to inspire the next generation to use their passion for the sport to give back to their communities.

Yamal's stunning images will also be featured on OPPO's AI Studio platform, allowing fans the opportunity to experience the excitement of football and feel closer to the star. Fans will even be able to "become Yamal's teammate," offering a unique way to connect with their idol and experience the joy of football.

OPPO's collaboration with Yamal is part of its continued global expansion and success. The company, which currently operates in over 70 countries, has cemented its place as a leader in the technology sector, with its products, such as the recently launched Find X8 series, receiving global acclaim for their advanced camera features, gaming performance, and impressive battery life. Through its partnership with football and the UEFA Champions League, OPPO has seamlessly blended cutting-edge technology with the passion of sport, creating powerful experiences for fans worldwide.
