Winless Ghana Finish Bottom, Nigeria Fall To Rwanda

Ghana 2-1 Niger

Ghana finished their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign without a win after losing to Niger on Monday night.

Osseini Badamassi opened the scoring for the visitors on 22 minutes, before Jeremia Afriyie restored parity for the Black Stars on 67 minutes.

With the game seemingly headed for a draw, Oumar Sako popped up with the winning goal in the second minute of time added on.

Niger ended the campaign in thrid spot and miss out on the tournament, while Ghana finished bottom of the group with zero wins to their name.

Nigeria 1-2 Rwanda

Nigeria's campaign for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers finished with a 2-1 loss to Rwanda in a Group D showdown in Uyo on Monday.

Entry to the finals have long been sealed for the Super Eagles and top spot of the group despite the defeat as the visitors missed out all together.

Ange Mutsinzi, and Innocent Nshuti were on strike for the travelling charges after cancelling out Samuel Chukwueze's earlier effort to see the Leopards over the line.

Morocco 7-0 Lesotho

Morocco showed the hapless Lesotho no mercy and ran riot with a 7-0 victory to secure top spot in Group B.

Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz grabbed the headlines by netting a hat-trick in the first half.

Soufiane Rahimi contributed with a brace, while Youssef En-Nesyri and Ismael Saibari completed the rout.

The Moroccans finished the qualifying campaign with six wins from six matches, while Lesotho finished third.

Tunisia 0-1 Gambia

Tunisia missed out on top spot in Group A following a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Gambia in Rades.

Abdoulie Ceesay's first half strike from Moussa Barrow's assist proved enough to put the Carthage Eagles to bed and leaped the visitors to maximum points.

The Tunisians had to make do with second place in the group while Gambia find themselves in third place.

Malawi 3-0 Burkina Faso

Malawi finished their qualifying journey comprehensively in Group L after crushing second-place Burkina Faso 3-0 In Blantyre.

The Flames not only ended with victory but also picked up their maiden one since the campaign commenced and remained bottom of the group.

Burkina, who have long sealed qualification alongside group winners Senegal, had a complete off day this time around as Gabadinho Mhango, Richard Mbulu and Lloyd Aaron inflicted pain.

Libya 0-0 Benin

Benin, who will also play in the tournament-proper around this time next year, concluded their campaign with a goalless draw against Libya in Group D.

For Benin, the team finished second in the group just behind the winners thereof Nigeria as the Libyans ended rock bottom with Rwanda placed third.
