Arsenal 5-1 Bolton Wanderers

Arsenal cruised to the next round of the Carabao Cup after thrashing Bolton Wanderers 5-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners gave debut to 16-year-old goalkeeper Jack Porter due to David Raya's injury and Neto being cup tied, while Raheem Sterling makes his first start for the club.

The hosts got off to the perfect start when Declan Rice opened his account for the campaign with a lovely finish from the edge of the box.

The lead was doubled in the 37th minute when Ethan Nwaneri bagged his first senior goal after being set up by Sterling.

The Gunners came out firing in the second and added a third goal after Nwaneri completed his brace, before Bolton pulled one back on 53 minutes through Aaron Collins' strike.

Sterling got his name on the score-sheet after the hour with his first goal in a Gunners shirt, before Kai Havertz rounded off the scoring with 13 minutes left on the clock.

Liverpool 5-1 West Ham United

Liverpool sealed their spot in the fourth round with a come-from-behind 5-1 win over West Ham United at Anfield.

The Hammers silenced the home fans early on after Jarrel Quansah deflected the ball into his own net on 21 minutes.

The Reds weren't behind for too long as Federico Chiesa got his first assist by picking out Diogo Jota, who fired home the equaliser.

Jota went on to complete his brace five minutes after the break before Mohamed Salah sealed the win in the 74th minute.

West Ham, meanwhile, finished the game with ten men after Edson Alvarez was given his marching orders for picking up his second yellow card.

Arne Slot's took full advantage of the numbers game when Cody Gakpo bagged two goals in second-half stoppage time.
