A big move to Mamelodi Sundowns is expected to be announced for Romain Folz, as the League champions are finalising preparations for the new season.
With the Brazilians expected to conclude their pre-season tour of Austria before the end of next week, Downs have been busy with reinforcements in the playing personnel and technical team respectively.

Following the recent return of Steve Komphela to Chloorkop as the senior coach to work with the long-serving Manqoba Mngqithi, indications are that the club is likely to unveil former Marumo Gallants and AmaZulu coach Romain Folz as an additional member to the technical team.
As reported in local media on Friday evening, Folz is understood to be already with Sundowns in Austria.
Siya sources close to Masandawana have confirmed that Mngqithi has got his wish to work with the French-Moroccan whom he rates highly for his high work-rate and coaching know-how.
"It's true, Romain Folz is coming back to South Africa, and this time it's for Sundowns. He will be starting immediately because there is very little time to prepare, so they (the technical team) have to work hard from the word go. That's why he has been brought in. It is to help the club to reach those goals," said the source.
In 2022, following the resignation of Folz from his position at Gallants, Mngqithi was quick to applaud the tactician for his impact at the club in the short time that he was in charge.
"When I see teams really bringing in coaches to try and play and play and play, it feels good. You know, I must be honest, there was a coach that was employed by Marumo Gallants, I thought that coach was bringing something into South African football. I was watching that team very closely and I was very impressed with what he was doing," Mngqithi said at the time, speaking to journalists during the MTN8 semi-final press conference.

"But when coaches that are really bringing the game – the right type of a game, the right specimen of a South African game… because we are forever thinking we all deserve to win – in football you must accept that sometimes you don't win not because you have not played well but a game of football will always favour others. And we are not saying we don't want foreign coaches to come and improve our game. Good foreign coaches when they come and impact positively to us, we appreciate," he said.
