Following the departure of Sergio Almenara, who served as first assistant coach for the Buccaneers in the last two seasons, the Buccaneers have been expected to bolster their bench to replace the Spaniard.

The Buccaneers are set to conclude their pre-season tour of Spain tonight with a fixture against Qatari outfit Al-Sadd at Banus Football Centre, having done well in the three games played so far against Plymouth Argyle (2-2), Sevilla (2-0) and Granada (1-1).
With the club having already extended assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi's contract, strengthening the technical team is next on the agenda for the double cup champions, with Spanish coach Carlos Nodar Paz expected to be roped in.
"He is one of the coaches considered, and that's all I will say. The club will be making announcements on players and the team on their return from Spain," said the source.

In preparing for tonight's fixture, Bucs striker Evidence Makgopa could be set for a late fitness test, following his forced substitution against Granada on Wednesday, the club has confirmed.
"The Buccaneers had an injury concern early in the clash against Granada, with Evidence Makgopa stretchered out midway through the first half. The striker will be in a race against time to be fit for the clash, while experienced forwards like Tshegofatso Mabasa and Zakhele Lepasa could step up in his absence," the Pirates media department confirmed on the club's official website.
