Zinnbauer 'Makes' Decision On Future

Raja Club Athletic head coach Josef Zinnbauer has reportedly made a decision on his future with the Moroccan giants after it was rumoured he had been offered a job in the Saudi Pro League.

Following his memorable domestic double-winning campaign last season, when his charges went the entire season unbeaten in both the Botola Pro Inwi and the Throne Cup, the Schwandorf native is said to have consequently garnered a lot of interest from outside of Africa.

The most prominent of these links have been with Saudi outfit Al Wehda. It initially seemed as though the Green Eagles were uncertain as to whether or not the German tactician would stay in Casablanca, but according to Le360 Sport, the president of the Green Eagles, Mohamed Boudrika, has managed to convince Zinnbauer to see out the rest of his contract.

The same report states that the Moroccan executive has succeeded in stopping the mooted $200 000 (R3.6 million) release clause in his contract from being triggered as he ensured the stability of his existing technical team.

Boudrika has already bid farewell to Fadlu Davids, who he has gone from being Zinnbauer's assistant to taking the head coaching role at Simba SC, and is seemingly not willing to lose the former Orlando Pirates boss too.

Zinnbauer's current contract runs until the end of the 2024/25 season, and with all the interest in him beginning to accumulate, this could be his final campaign at the Stade Mohamed V.
