Revealed: The PSL Club Leading Race For Dolly

Revealed: The PSL Club Leading Race For Dolly

The Siya crew has been led to believe that SuperSport United are front runners for the signature of a player who will no longer be in the colours of Kaizer Chiefs next season.

Experienced midfielder Keagan Dolly is heading out of Naturena when his contract expires at the end of June and the Siya crew has been informed that SuperSport are leading the race for the signature of the former Montpellier player and talks for a move are understood to be at an advanced stage.

SuperSport are believed to have acted quickly in trying to secure the player to add to their squad for next season, as they try to challenge for silverware.

The 31-year-old Dolly returned to South Africa in 2021 to sign for Soweto giants Chiefs, but his spell with the club did not quite go as many had hoped it would.

Outside of not inspiring the club to any silverware, Dolly struggled with consistent form and injury during his time at the club and they decided to not extend his contract that is expiring this week.

In his final campaign with Amakhosi, the former Mamelodi Sundowns player made just eight appearances in all competitions, contributing with just one assist.

Indications are that SuperSport are not the only club interested in the player. Cape Town City and AmaZulu are interested in the player as well, but it's believed SuperSport could win the race for his signature.
