The story

Njabulo Ngcobo has taken time to give back to his alma maters in Mthwalume, a small settlement in the Umzumbe Municipality, south of KwaZulu Natal.

The 30-year-old centre-back was born in Folweni, just an hour north of where he went to school, brought smiles to the learners by donating school shoes and sanitary pads two the two schools he attended in the area.

Ngcobo took to Instagram to share his charitable efforts and the wholesome pictures he took with pupils from one of his former schools, receiving praise teammates George Matlou and Happy Mashiane.

At his second alma mater, he was pictured engaging with the learners and seemingly addressing them at assembly, before handing over his Amakhosi number 27 jersey from the 2023/24 season to the educators:

Ngcobo's future at Kaizer Chiefs is looking increasingly uncertain after reports emerged that the former Swallows defender has agreed terms with Sekhukhune United.

Mapholoba arrived at Naturena in 2021 and despite his promise, has struggled to make an impact at the Glamour Boys. With his contract expiring this month, it's likely that the KZN-born baller has played his last game for the Soweto giants.
