Loaned Out Players Sundowns May Not Keep

Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to make decisions on players they had loaned out this past season, with quite a number of them seemingly not having a future with the club in the 2024/25 campaign.

As things stand, players who were out on loan will return to the club for pre-season and a decision will be made on what happens next with them.

As reported by the Siya crew, defender Katlego Mohamme is in talks for a permanent deal with Sekhukhune United after spending the second half of the season on loan to the club from the Tshwane giants. This was confirmed by his agent Mike Makaab, who is hoping the player can have a permanent home where he can continue his football.

University of Pretoria could keep striker Thabang Sibanyoni after he impressed during the past campaign. AmaTuks still have a chance of winning promotion to the top flight via the playoffs, but it's currently not in their hands. Midfielder Promise Mkhuma, who is also at AmaTuks on loan, is unlikely to feature in plans for next season.

As reported by the Siya crew, Luvuyo Phewa is unlikely to be part of the team next season, with loads of competition in the middle of the park at Chloorkop. Phewa was out on loan to Cape Town Spurs for the past season-and-a-half, playing a key role for the Mother City based outfit.

While Spurs would be interested in keeping him, indications are that his representatives would want him to play top flight football, so they will be weighing their options.
