The Portuguese midfielder is facing an uncertain future in England amid the Manchester team's poor form, with reports suggesting sides in Saudi Arabia could be preparing a swoop for the 29-year-old.
Fernandes captains United and has two years remaining on his deal at the 20-time English champions, but rumours continue to suggest that selling him could help the club's financial position going into next season.
Under-pressure head coach Erik ten Hag, however, has maintained that the Portugal international is a key member of his side and is not for sale.
According to The Independent, his stance on the former Sporting man has not deterred Bayern Munich, who could be looking to pounce on the club's fragile situation.
It is said they believe they stand a chance of landing his signature as he does not fit the profile of the rebuild the Red Devils will be wanting to begin ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Manchester Evening News also reports there are doubts within the dressing room over Fernandes' continuity at Old Trafford, with the outlet suggesting Fernandes could be open to a departure.
