Last week, the England international made headlines in Spain after Real Madrid beat Getafe 2-0 away from home.
It was alleged that the 20-year-old midfielder called Greenwood a "rapist" following a tackle on the Manchester United loanee, although pitch-side microphones did not pick up exactly what was said.
The incident was initially pointed out by observers on social media, with an expert lip-reader having reportedly stated it is likely that Bellingham did indeed use that word.
LALIGA has since said they will use their own lip-reader to analyse the footage, and that they have asked the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to take a closer look at the matter.
"It must also be reported that after the end of the match, messages were detected through social media regarding a possible incident in which visiting player Jude Bellingham allegedly insulted local player Mason Greenwood in English," the incident report stated, as per the Metro.
"Numerous media outlets have reported on this incident, as evidenced in the attached incident report."
Greenwood was arrested in January 2022 on suspicion of attempted rape, assault and coercive behaviour, but later saw those charges dropped after the withdrawal of key witnesses.

It is believed Bellingham could be disciplined by the RFEF if it is proved he called Greenwood a rapist, with some having suggested he actually said "rubbish" instead.
