Kaizer Chiefs legend Jabu Mahlangu recently caught up the man he saw as a father figure during his time at the Soweto giants. Check it out!
What's the story?
Jabu "Shuffle" Mahlangu took to Instagram to share a screenshot of his video call with his former coach at Kaizer Chiefs, Muhsin Ertugral.
Mahlangu played under veteran Turkish coach during the latter's first stint at Amakhosi, a coach he holds in high stead and regarded him as father figure.

Mahlangu shows appreciation to Ertugral
Jabu Mahlangu made his breakthrough at Kaizer Chiefs back in 1999, making his name under Mushin Ertugral, whom he still holds in high regard today.
"Shuffle the pack" as he was affectionately known by the Khosi faithful was an absolute dynamite at the Glamour boys when Mushin was in charge, and still looks back fondly at his time with the Turkish mentor at the Soweto giants.

Along with sharing a throwback from 1999, Mahlangu posted a screenshot of his video call with Mushin, with the caption reading:
"Just had a father and son chat with my former exceptional coach." He posed the same screenshot on his story, with a slightly different caption:
"I've just had a chat with my father, coach Muhsin Ertugral."
The duo shared a special bond beyond their time at Chiefs, with the former Ajax Cape Town, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Orlando Pirates boss going as far as including Mahlangu in his all-time best IX back in 2015.
Like Mahlangu, Kaizer Chiefs holds a special place in Muhsin's heart, with his Instagram account full with memories from his successful spells in Naturena.
Both Mahlangu and Ertugral took time to wish Dr Kaizer Motaung a happy 79th birthday today, not only showing how much Amakhosi means to them, but also their undying appreciation for one of South African football's trailblazers.
