Two Options 'Emerge' As Greenwood's Next Move

Two Options 'Emerge' As Greenwood's Next Move

Two destinations have reportedly emerged as viable places for Mason Greenwood to relaunch his career.

Mason Greenwood reportedly only has two realistic destinations where he can resurrect his career ahead of his anticipated split with Manchester United.

Earlier this week, the Red Devils confirmed the conclusion of their internal investigation into the Bradford native.

Greenwood was charged with attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault following his arrest last year, but has since seen those charges dropped after the withdrawal of key witnesses in the investigation.

Once the British authorities ceased their investigation, the record Premier League champions conducted an investigation of their own and while they did not find the young attacker guilty of any wrongdoing, they did admit that it would be best for the England international to reignite his career away from Old Trafford.

Many clubs have been rumoured to be interested in the 21-year-old's services since. Clubs in Saudi Arabia and in the EFL Championship are believed to be pondering the signing of the forward, but just as many are said to have distanced themselves away from a pursuit of the young attacker, the latest of which being the Steven Gerrard-led Al Ettifaq.

However, according to i News, the United academy graduate's likeliest next club will be situated in either Italy or Turkey as clubs in those regions are considered the most viable for Greenwood at this moment.

AS Roma is a club that has been heavily linked with the ambidextrous attacker, but the same report claims that any team that wishes to sign him will likely only acquire him on a loan given that he has not played a competitive match in close to two years. United will then sell him for a cut-price come the end of the 2023/24 campaign as they look to put the Greenwood saga behind them.
