It is now believed that he is set to part ways with the DStv Premiership champions and has been linked with a move to rivals Orlando Pirates for the new season, with indications that negotiations have already been initiated.
A source very close to the player informed the Siya crew that the Brazilians have informed Kapinga about the decision.
Kapinga joined the Tshwane giants from Black Leopards in 2020 and while he has been part of a few league title-winning seasons, he has only racked up 39 appearances in the last three years.
The Brazilians have also bolstered their attacking department over the last week with the arrival of Junior Mendieta and Lesiba Nku.
