Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar has made a certain claim about Lionel Messi's upcoming free-agent transfer to MLS side Inter Miami.

Last week, the Argentine confirmed he had chosen to take his career to the United States amid continuous links with a return to LaLiga champions Barcelona.
Staying in France appeared a possibility for the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner prior to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, until his relationship with the French club's fans seemed to sour.
It was then widely expected that Messi would head back to the Blaugrana in Spain, with the 35-year-old himself admitting he had dreamed of representing the club again before ultimately deciding not to wait for a formal contract offer to arrive from Spain.
Neymar, who was sad to see the Argentine leave the Parc des Princes, has claimed he had already been aware of his former teammate's move ahead of the announcement last week, before insisting Messi's arrival will massively boost the profile of the US league.
"Messi is a gift that football gave me. I had the opportunity to meet him, to play with him and then we became friends," he told NBA Brazil's YouTube channel.
"I already knew he was coming to Miami and we talked about it. I told him he would be very happy because of the city and the way of life. It will be very good but obviously it was a bit bittersweet to see him leave.
"I'm sure it will change the whole league. It will become a much more popular league. I think everyone should take the opportunity to see him play because unfortunately nothing lasts forever."

Messi is currently on international duty with Argentina, who are set to take on Australia and Indonesia in friendlies over the coming week.
