Hunt & Twitter Reacts To Pirates Youngsters Showboating

What's the story?

Joseph Makhanya's DStv Diski Challenge outfit may have won their game against Sekhukhune United, 3-0, over the weekend, but the Kasi Flavour skills on the day were the biggest talking point.

Gavin Hunt took to Twitter to express his 'shock' over the showboating, with the rest of the Twitter timeline expressing contrasting views on the skills and the Kasi Flavour topic in general.

Orlando Pirates Kasi Flavour moment

Bucs Reserves climbed to the top of the DStv Diski Challenge standings after an impressive 3-0 win over Sekhukhune United. 

The goals on the day weren't even the biggest talking points from the day. The Kasi Flavour exhibited on the day sent Twitter into a frenzy. 

In the first half of the game, a couple of Pirates players took it upon themselves to showcase their skills by showboating in the most exuberant manner possible:

The skills showcased by the Pirates youngsters, Sonwabo Khumalo and Jabulani Mokome, may have been heavily scrutinised by several people online but the team's coach and club legend, Joseph Makhanya found no issue with it:

Reactions

As mentioned, four-time league winner Gavin Hunt expressed his shock on Twitter and found the showboating to be "horrifying":

Tweeps shared mixed reactions to the moment, with the argument of Kasi Flavour's place in the professional/semi-pro football being split more than ever. 

"What is this nonsense nina? @orlandopirates Are these the standards we've set for our development teams???" said user @_Sir_CharlesR. 

"Let the boys have fun. We need to see this in the PSL too," replied @strAightMARVIN. 

"It's called Kasi Flava, uShukela, it's the reason we go to the stadiums, they won 3-0, 3 points in the bag, they are on top of the log. Why not celebrate the only way they know how? 

"And if their coach is cool with it, who are we to oppose it. Just let the boys be boys hawu," read a tweet from @sazisomzet.
