Ronaldo Bound To Join Serie A Giants?

Ronaldo Bound To Join Serie A Giants?

It seems Cristiano Ronaldo's time at Manchester United could be coming to an end sooner rather than later, and according to reports, a giant of Serie A football is interested in acquiring his services.

Guardiola: Haaland Will Break Premier League Goal Record

Ronaldo has found himself in a precarious position at United of late as he has been effectively relegated to the bench, despite being the club's leading goalscorer last season.

While the Red Devils have been performing better as a collective in his absence, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has cut a frustrated figure in the dugout.

With the Portugal captain currently serving a first-team ban for refusing to come on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur last week, his time in Manchester looks to be coming to an acrimonious end.

It seems Ronaldo may have an ideal destination for himself when the January transfer window opens, though. As per The Sun, Serie A table-toppers Napoli retain an interest in acquiring the 37-year-old marksman.

During the latest transfer window, reports suggested that the forward could make his way to Naples, but a deal failed to materialise and Ronaldo found himself still a Mancunian by the end of the window.

The same report suggests that because the Gli Azzurri are challenging on all fronts this season, manager Luciano Spalletti would welcome the addition of international football's all-time top goalscorer.

However, Ronaldo would reportedly have to take a drastic pay cut to join Napoli, but if he is sincere about his desire to keep challenging for the top prizes in world football, it would be an easy decision to make considering the run of form the Italian club is in.

PSG Respond To Claims About Mbappe's 'History-Making Contract'

They are one of three sides in Europe's top five leagues who are yet to lose a game in any competition, and seem determined to end their 32-year wait for a Scudetto triumph.
