Real Madrid's home crowd has booed club superstar Cristiano Ronaldo a few times in recent weeks, but opposition captain Francesco Totti received a rousing ovation from them on Tuesday night.

The 39-year-old came on as a substitute after 74 minutes in the second leg of the round of 16 UEFA Champions League tie between Roma and Los Blancos, and the Santiago Bernabeu faithful showed their appreciation for the football legend.
"It's emotional because these will be wonderful memories," Totti told Mediaset Premium after the game.
"This show of thanks in an extraordinary stadium means I have given something to football.
"We missed a few things, but I'll enjoy this moment for now and then we'll see."
Totti is one of few opposition players to have received a standing ovation from Real's home crowd – others include Diego Maradona, Ronaldinho and, more recently, Andres Iniesta.
The Madrid club won the return leg 2-0, thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez, to progress 4-0 on aggregate, and Totti is likely to have made his final Champions League appearance.
The Roma legend has played 723 games for his club, scoring 293 goals and assisting a further 112 strikes in his illustrious career so far.

Totti, who has had a troublesome relationship with new coach Luciano Spalletti, is likely to leave Roma – the only club he has ever played for – at the end of the season.
