Paris Saint-Germain teammates Kylian Mbappe Lionel Messi reportedly do not see eye to eye regarding Neymar's future at the club.
Report: Man Utd Willing To Sell Ronaldo
Neymar's future at the Parc des Prince has been in doubt in recent weeks, with the Brazilian linked with a move away from the French capital.
Following his world-record transfer from Barcelona in 2017, the 2021/22 campaign was perhaps his worst in a PSG shirt as the 30-year-old again struggled with injuries, and managed to find the back of the net only 13 times for Les Parisiens.
Chelsea have been heavily touted to swoop in for the skilful winger, with intermediaries reportedly offering Neymar to the Blues in the hopes of achieving a blockbuster move that would see him reunited with his former coach Thomas Tuchel.
However, Messi is understood to want Neymar to stay with him in the French capital.
The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is said to believe his former Barcelona teammate still has a lot to offer the reigning Ligue 1 champions, both on and off the pitch.
Their strike partner, Mbappe is reportedly of a different mindset, though. According to Mundo Deportivo, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner would prefer the former Santos wonderkid to be sold given certain instances of ill-discipline, with the issue of Neymar's future becoming a source of conflict between Messi and the Frenchman.
New PSG boss Christophe Galtier has, however, expressed his admiration for the Mogi das Cruzes native and insisted he wants him to stay.
Since Neymar joined, the Parisians have made it past the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League only twice, and qualified for the final just once.
With the additions of Luis Campos and Galtier to the technical team, the club's hierarchy will be hoping they can get the best out of their world-class attacking trident and remedy this as they look to finally capture their first European Cup.
