The story
Mamelodi Sundowns wrapped up their Betway Premiership campaign in style with a commanding 2-0 win over Magesi at Loftus Versfeld on Sunday.
The result capped off a title-winning season for Masandawana, who had already been crowned champions the previous Wednesday.
Lucas Ribeiro Costa was the star of the show, netting both goals and closing out the season on a high.
With 16 league goals to his name, Ribeiro Costa finishes as the league's top scorer and is expected to be a strong contender for the PSL Footballer of the Season award.
To commemorate his second league title in South Africa, Ribeiro showcased a memorial-style t-shirt, paying tribute to two late young men from his hometown.
Ribeiro hails from Santa Helena in the state of Maranhão, Brazil and wore a personalised t-shirt displaying images of Rodrielson Pavão and Vitinho.
In the caption to one of his IG title celebration posts, Ribeiro gives insight on what the people displayed on his top represent, "As my brother necko used to say! Let's live our dreams, we have so little time.
"I miss my brother RODRIELSON! Always gonna be here representing. VITINHO, I didn't have the opportunity to meet you in person, but you will never be forgotten. will be fighting to represent not only you but also our city, rest in peace," wrote Ribeiro.
