The 14-year-old netted his first two goals for the Seleção’s under-15 side as they emerged 3-2 victors in the final of the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament in Croatia. They beat the host nation, with both of his goals giving the team the lead before Rafael Cabral ultimately scored the decisive goal to seal the win.

After his first strike, Ronaldo Jr paid homage to his father by performing the famed ‘Siuuu’ celebration. The goal came after the ball broke to him inside the 18-yard box, which he crashed home off the woodwork into the roof of the net.

These goals marked his first at international level and came just days after making his debut. He came on as a substitute in the 54th minute as Portugal recorded a convincing 4-1 victory over Japan during the group stage of the competition.

After that match, his iconic father posted a picture of his son on Instagram with a heartfelt caption that read: “Congratulations on your debut by @portugal, son. Very proud of you!”

The teenager has donned the jerseys of all the famous clubs his father has represented — including Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus — but now finds himself at Al Nassr. However, given his performances in Croatia, a return to Europe could come sooner rather than later.
