These days he dabbles in music as an aspiring gqom artist, with hits such as Mthando and Yizo to his name. However, two decades ago, the Daveyton-born man had fans dancing to a different tune.

Touted to be the next Jabu Pule (Mahlangu), his sharp footwork and skill set him apart from his peers and was tipped to achieve great things.

Promoted to the first team in 2001, the 36-year-old rose through the ranks from the under-15s all the way to the reserve side.

His fame however, was short-lived as he fell into the trap of drugs and alcoholism.
