Speaking to Soccer Laduma in an exclusive interview in edition 962, 'Jomo' expressed his desire to go the extra mile in order to don the famous gold and green strip.
"I'm happy with my progress at my club and, given a chance, I would definitely grab it with both hands. I'd give anything to play for Bafana, because that's where I want to see myself one day, " the 25-year-old said.
To many's surprise in the local football circles, Rakhale was not included in the Bafana squad for their two-legged tie against Cameroon in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers later this month, but the dribbling-wizard indicated that he still harbours chances of turning out for the national team.
"I would really like to play for Coach Shakes' team, because that's what every local player dreams of. It would be an honour! Imagine playing for the country, with everyone behind you," he said.
"That's something every player wants to experience because if the support from our team supporters can be so good, one can only imagine having the whole country behind you," the former Polokwane City man said.
