The Siya crew can reveal that former Ajax Cape Town striker Thembinkosi 'Terror' Fanteni has stopped training with Chippa United.
Fanteni, who spent last season at Wits, has been struggling to find a club since parting ways with the Clever Boys, after being told by Gavin Hunt that he is not in his plans.
Trial stints at Bloemfontein Celtic and AmaZulu did not yield success, while an attempted move back to the Urban Warriors failed to materialise.
At the time, Ajax's then interim coach, Ian Taylor, told Soccer Laduma that 'Terror' did not show enough hunger to be given a contract.
The Paarl-born marksman has been training with the Chilli Boys in the National First Division, but has now stopped and it is not known what he is planning to do next.
The player's career has been on a downward spiral, a far cry from his days at Ajax, where he holds the record for the highest scorer, with 52 goals in over 100 appearances.
Efforts to reach Fanteni were not successful at the time of writing, but watch this space.
