Kaizer Chiefs captain Tefu Mashamaite has revealed that negotiations regarding his contract are still ongoing, though he wanted to keep all details private.
There has been a lot of speculation in recent times regarding the Mashamaite's contract at Chiefs, with the defender's current deal expiring in just under two months.
This afternoon, the Siya crew caught up with the former Bidvest Wits defender and asked him about his contract situation. He admitted that things are happening behind the scenes, but said that at present, the details will remain private.
"What I can tell you is that something is going on right now about my contract but that's private. There is something happening but I also have the right to remain private, and at the moment the issue of my contract is just that, private," said Mashamaite.
