Nedbank Cup
Teams: Wits v Chiefs
Date: 23 February 2013
Venue: Mbombela Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs will be looking for a little revenge when they meet Wits in the Nedbank Cup last 32 on Saturday night.
It will be the third time that the two sides meet this season, but the last time they faced off in a cup tournament saw the Clever Boys grab victory when they beat Chiefs 3-2 in a thrilling Telkom Knockout tie.
Chiefs come into the game off of a confident run, having gone seven games unbeaten and they are currently two points ahead at the top of the pile. Their form in domestic cup events has not been as good though, as they also failed at the first hurdle in the MTN8 at the start of the season, losing to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Students, under the guidance of new coach Clive Barker, have had a decent start to 2013 with two wins and a loss from three games.
Wits are in seventh place on the league table, but are far off the PSL title race as they are 17 points behind Chiefs - meaning that this could be their last chance at silverware this season.
This is how they line up:
Wits: Ryan Harrison, Katlego Pule, Aaron Mokoena, Matthew Pattison, Tinashe Nengomasha, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Erwin Isaacs, Bhongolwethu Jayiya, Thomas Sweswe, Ryan Chapman, Mzikayise Mashaba.
Chiefs: Itumeleng Khune, Siboniso Gaxa, Morgan Gould, Tefu Mashamaite, Tsepo Masilela, Lucky Baloyi, Willard Katsande, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Erick Mathoho, Kingston Nkhatha, Matthew Rusike.
