Wits captain, Sibusiso Vilakazi, says that tomorrow's Nedbank Cup clash with Kaizer Chiefs will be much different to their recent league encounter.
The 24-year-old, who has been a revelation for the Clever Boys this campaign, took part in the Absa Premiership tie between the two sides last month as they shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw.
However, this time around there needs to be a winner, and 'Vila' says that Wits want to make sure that it's them.
Speaking to the media earlier today, the midfielder said, "It's a different game in the cup. We're looking to be positive but make sure that we defend well and don't allow them to score."
"Football wise it's always the same approach for us. The hard work, hunger and will has to be there from all the players. It's the one cup that's left for us and we're really looking to go forward and claim it, " he commented.
"Chiefs are defending their cup, but we have to look at ourselves first and foremost. If the players are determined enough then I think that we will be able to go through."
Also, when asked about whether he feels he deserves some silverware after his impressive campaign, the modest midfielder said, "It's not just for me only, it's a team effort. I'm not the only one that has contributed and I think we've done very well, but the important thing now for us is the Nedbank Cup."
Wits host the Amakhosi at a sold out Bidvest Stadium tomorrow afternoon at 15h00.
