Chippa United defender, Ruben Cloete, could be headed for a return to the Free State to further his career for the remainder of the 2015/16 season.

The left back is linked with a move to Free State Stars.
The 33-year-old has fallen out of favour at the Port Elizabeth club under Roger Sikhakhane. Cloete last turned out for Chippa in their Absa Premiership campaign, against Platinum Stars in September.
Sources have indicated that Ea Lla Koto could make a bid to sign the player to strengthen Ernst Middendorp's squad in January.
Cloete made a name in professional football with Stars, before earning a big move to Orlando Pirates.

The Upington-born player played under Middendorp at Maritzburg United, Bloemfontein Celtic and at Chippa before the German's departure from the club.
