Former Mamelodi Sundowns owner, Zola Mahobe has passed on. Mahobe was a well-known businessman in the country during the 1980s.
Mahobe was born in Sophiatown and attended school in Soweto. He became the boss of Sundowns in 1985, after he reportedly bought the club for R100 000.
Mahobe was credited for transforming Sundowns into one of the biggest clubs in the country, among the likes of Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
Soccer-Laduma understands that Mahobe collapsed at his home on Saturday in the presence of his children.
Mahobe was laid to rest in a traditional Islamic burial on Sunday.
