Platinum Stars' Issa Sarr A Wanted Man

Issa Sarr
Following a solid display for Platinum Stars in his debut season for the Phokeng-based side, Senegalese born midfielder, Issa Sarr has attracted interest from no less than three PSL clubs. Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns are all monitoring the holding midfielder's situation with interest, with a source close to the club suggesting that the former Chippa United player will not be with Dikwena in the 2014/15 Absa Premiership campaign. The source said that the player is likely to leave Stars, should a fair offer be tabled for his services, confirming that Bucs and SuperSport are leading the race to land his signature. "Sundowns have asked about the player, but these two teams (Pirates and SuperSport) are in the forefront for his signature," said the source. Issa's agent, Issoufou Idrissa, explained that while there has been interest in the 27-year-old, he will remain a Stars player unless the club decides otherwise. "I can't say much on the issue of the player going anywhere because it's all up to Stars. So let's respect that, he is their player." "We know he did very well for them this season and a few coaches have told me that he is a great player but that doesn't mean Stars will just let him go easily," Idrissa explained. Sarr played an important role for Dikwena in clinching the MTN8 and the Telkom Knockout, where they beat Pirates in both finals.
