Orlando Pirates announce new partnership

Orlando Pirates announce new partnership

Orlando Pirates have announced a new sponsorship partnership with an electronic giant.

The club announced in a statement released by the Soweto giants that LG Electronics is the club's official Consumer Electronics and Mobile Partner for 2018.

In a statement reads:

"The Orlando Pirates brand is synonymous with innovation and quality. It is through these principles of continuous evolution that this great brand is able to partner up with an equally innovative and quality brand in LG Electronics. The synergy between these two brands made it a natural progression for us to partner up with LG Electronics, as they perfectly complement the character of the club and our aim of being a world-class team

This partnership will focus on upgrading the hospitality facilities at the Orlando Stadium, where the stadium suite areas will be fitted with top of the range LG UHD TVs. The Club's training facility, Rand Stadium will also receive an LG makeover.

Orlando Pirates will furthermore introduce the LG Fans Player of The Month category scheduled to commence at the start of the upcoming 2018/19 Season, where the club's supporters will be given an opportunity to vote online for their favourite player. The winning player will be awarded the latest LG V30+ Smartphone, whilst one lucky voter will win themselves an LG / Orlando Pirates hamper.

This is an exciting time for both brands. LG is one of the most respected premium electronics brands in the world, so it's only fitting that we partner with one of the biggest football clubs in Africa. The prospect of the partnership between these two great brands is exciting because LG can now bring the exceedingly popular Orlando Pirates football club straight into fans' homes. Now that is a winning combination."

The new sponsorship follows the Buccaneers' partnership with Caltex South Africa as reported by Soccer Laduma earlier this year in February.
