Ntokozo Sikhakhane is driven by his passion for youth development in wanting to contribute to unearthing talented youngsters for South African football.
The former midfielder, who came through the development ranks at Kaizer Chiefs before going on to play for the senior side during his professional career, is involved in scouting for talented young footballers from around KwaZulu-Natal through what he calls football camps.
"I'm very passionate about youngsters and development and that's why I am involved in a project to develop youngsters for South African football through football camps. I was well developed myself and I know that a player that is well developed has a bright future," said Sikhakhane.
Sikhakhane is inspired by some of Mzansi's top footballers, who have gone on to achieve great things in their careers, having started out through development teams of different PSL clubs.
"I can give you a few names of players that were properly developed and have gone on to become top stars in Mzansi. I am talking about players like Kermit Erasmus, who came through the development of SuperSport United, Percy Tau from Mamelodi Sundowns' development and Jabu Pule (Mahlangu) from Kaizer Chiefs' development, just to mention a few. There are so many of others and the list is endless. If players are properly developed you are guaranteed of a bright future and all that is needed is to guide them off the field. Those are the programmes that I am busy with," added the former central midfielder.
