As reported by the Siya crew in January, Sekola signed a pre-contract with Highlands Park as his contract with Ea Lla Koto will be coming to an end in June.
However, the Lions of the North are currently involved in a relegation battle and according to sources, Sekola will not be interested in playing in the NFD if the club is to be relegated at the end of the season.
"Moeketsi Sekola will not want to play in the NFD at this stage of his career. In fact, he won't join a club in the NFD next season. It's true that he signed a pre-contract with Highlands Park but he won't join the club if they are relegated to the NFD. There is interest in the player from a few other PSL clubs. Bloemfontein Celtic and (Bidvest) Wits are some of the clubs that have previously shown interest in the player so there will be options," a source told the Siya crew.
