Ramahlwe Mphahlele
The Brazilians skipper led his charges to a league and cup double which saw him force his way into Shakes Mashaba's Bafana Bafana squad despite injury troubles earlier this past campaign. 'Rama' could be set to become among the highest paid full backs in Mzansi, with Kaizer Chiefs in the most favourable position to land his signature as reported by the Siya crew.
Tebogo Langerman
Langerman featured in 24 of Sundowns' 30 league fixtures and formed part of a stubborn Downs backline as they only suffered three league losses. He played a pivotal role as the Chloorkop outfit romped to two titles in the 2015/16 season.
Thabo Nthethe
'Mr Cool' was part of the Sundowns team that claimed a record of seven PSL titles and individually walked away with the Telkom Knockout Player of the Tournament as well as the PSL Defender of the Season awards.
Mzikayise Mashaba
Despite his limited game time in the past term, where 'Muzi' only notched up 15 appearances in all competitions, the Tembisa-born player equally contributed to the team's success whenever called upon, easily slotting in either the left back or left wing positions.
Wayne Arendse
Perhaps one of the most underrated defenders in the PSL, the Mitchell's Plain-born centre-back arguably had the best season in his Sundowns career since his switch from Santos in 2012. Arendse featured 32 times for the Brazilians and formed part of a defensive structure that only let in 20 goals. He also found the back of the net on two occasions as they equalled the goalscoring record with 55 goals.
