There could be a Kaizer Chiefs debut this afternoon as the Glamour Boys take on Highlands Park, but Khama Billiat will not play any part in the game.

It was reported previously that the Zimbabwean – who is Chiefs' top scorer this season – had not travelled with the squad to Durban after picking up a knock against Polokwane City, and that has now been confirmed by Ernst Middendorp ahead of this afternoon's clash.

Billiat joins the likes of Itumeleng Khune, Mulomowandau Mathoho, Lebogang Manyama and Happy Mashiane on the club's injury list, though the extent of his problem is not known at this point in time.

Speaking to the club's official website, Middendorp said, "We have several players out due to a variety of injuries, it is not much of an issue for us, though. We have other players capable and available to do the job for us. It is a matter of selecting the best combination for what we want to achieve."

Meanwhile, the fact that young Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, fresh off a number of impressive performances for Amajita, had also been included, was also touched upon by the German.

He said, "We have some young players coming up with a chance for selection… Emmanuel Letlotlo was in the squad for the last match and now we give Ngcobo an opportunity. The future is good for the club."
