Kaizer Chiefs got their hands on some silverware this weekend, clinching the Macufe Cup trophy in the annual clash against Bloemfontein Celtic.

Steve Komphela may be under pressure at the minute given the Amakhosi's lack of competitive trophies since his arrival at Naturena, however, he was able to crack a smile over the weekend in a 4-2 win as the club finally found their scoring boots.

There were goals for Dumisani Zuma, Siyabonga Ngezana, Bernard Parker and Ryan Moon as the Glamour Boys brushed aside Siwelele at Free State Stadium, and while the game was only a friendly encounter it will give them a welcome confidence boost ahead of their clash with Mamelodi Sundowns in their next game.
As expected, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Daniel Cardoso and Erick Mathoho were all rested for the game as they deal with minor injuries, but it is thought that they will be fit enough to face Masandawana on October 17th.
