PSL Clubs Lining Up For Mdantsane

PSL Clubs Lining Up For Mdantsane

Kaizer Chiefs have made their stance clear regarding the future of midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane, with the Soweto giants reportedly unwilling to entertain offers for the player despite growing interest from other PSL clubs.

AmaZulu are among the clubs that are reportedly keen to secure the services of the talented playmaker, with his former coach at Chiefs, Arthur Zwane, said to be an admirer of his abilities.

Additionally, Richards Bay FC, where Mdantsane is currently on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season, are eager to sign him on a permanent deal.

Mdantsane joined Amakhosi from Cape Town City in July 2023 on a three-year deal, which is set to run until June 2026.

Although his progress has been hampered by injury setbacks, the 30-year-old remains highly regarded as one of the top midfielders in the PSL for his position.

His ability to control the tempo of the game and create scoring opportunities has made him a valuable asset for any team.

Chiefs recently confirmed his loan move to Richards Bay, releasing a statement last week that emphasised their expectation of his return to the club at the end of the season.

The club expressed their confidence in his continued development and underlined his importance to their long-term plans.

With Chiefs firm in their stance, any potential suitors – including AmaZulu and Richards Bay – will face an uphill battle in their pursuit of the talented midfielder.

Unless there is a significant shift in the club's plans, Mdantsane looks set to continue his journey with Amakhosi beyond the current season.

"At the end of the day, the coach (Nasreddine Nabi) will decide. He (Nabi) is the one who decided that the player should go on loan, and he is the one who will decide if he wants to have him back in the team next season. But what I know is that Mdantsane is a player that has been on the radar of a few clubs in the PSL. While Richards Bay are keen to hold on to him, AmaZulu are also interested and have been monitoring his situation closely," said the source.

Chippa United and SuperSport United are among clubs believed to have been keeping a close eye on Mdantsane's situation, according to sources.
