As previously reported by the Siya crew, the younger brother of Siyabonga Sangweni, has been linked with an exit from the Port-Elizabeth based outfit at the end of the season.
After a slow start to the 2015/16 season, the midfielder has rediscovered his form and has established himself as an influential player for the Chilli Boys in the second half of the campaign.
The Empangeni-born player has contributed immensely to the team's form, with his fine performances aiding Chippa's resurgence under Dan Malesela and a key part of their consecutive wins against Jomo Cosmos, Bloemfontein Celtic and Free State Stars.
As revealed in the latest edition of Soccer Laduma, issue 961, Chiefs have been monitoring Sangweni's progress at Chippa with interest and are considering bringing the 26-year-old to Naturena for the 2016/17 season.
The Amakhosi are yet to agree on a new deal with veteran midfielder, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, whose deal with Chiefs will expire at the end of June, with Sangweni forming part of the of possible replacements for the 33-year-old, should he fail to extend his stay.
Chiefs signed William Twala from Chippa in January and also have Edward Manqele, another player who joined from the Chilli Boys, on their books.
