Former PSL Club Boss Peter Rabali Has Passed Away

The football fraternity has been hit hard yet again, following the death of former Premier Soccer League club boss Peter Rabali.

Rabali was a former managing director of the now defunct Rabali Blackpool. He was also the chairman of Dynamos at one stage during his career in football.

Rabali passed away of an undisclosed illness at a Johannesburg hospital in the early hours of Thursday morning.

He was 73 years old at the time of his untimely passing. The former club boss disappeared from the football limelight in 1999, after he was handed a lifetime ban due to being found guilty of offering officials money amounting to R10 000 to throw a game involving second tier counterparts City Sharks.

His then club Dynamos were chasing promotion to Mzansi's top tier at the time.

Rabali was the Archbishop and a respected figure in his community at the time of his passing.

Just last month, the football fraternity was shocked by the news of the passing of Mike Mokoena – the Free State Stars chairman, while on Tuesday this week Mzansi learnt of the sad passing of former Baroka FC star Khunadi Nkoana.

Soccer Laduma sends condolences to Rabali's family during this time of bereavement.
