Collins Mbesuma Talks About His Goal Against Orlando Pirates
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates striker, Collins Mbesuma, broke the Buccaneers faithful's hearts on Tuesday evening when he helped Mpumalanga Black Aces claim a 2-1 victory over Bucs at Mbombela Stadium. The former PSL top goal scorer tells the Siya crew that he had nothing to prove against his former team, though his goal was his only main contribution to the game during his time on the field. 'Ntofontofo', who has played for all three Soweto teams (Chiefs, Pirates Swallows) as well as Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows, said that he was just doing duty for Aces. "I had my time at Pirates and now I have to do my job at Aces. There was nothing for me to prove when I played against Pirates. I had work to do and I think I just did that. But you should know that it's team work and as a team we did very well. I don't want to talk about my time at Pirates. Obviously I was happy to score as it could have been in any other game. "I just hope that more goals will come from here on. It was good, the team won and we collected the three points. We needed the three points and we have to keep on fighting," the Zambian international concluded. Mbesuma converted his only chance during the game, one of only two attempts on goal from him, but completed just 65% of his passes (15/23) and lost possession on 12 occasions. AmaZayoni's win over Ezika Magebhula saw Clive Barker's side move to second on the PSL table behind league leaders Kaizer Chiefs.
